London graduated half day kindergarten this year!
She actually started a year a head and so we decided to have her do another year of kindergarten(when she was suppose to start anyway).
We HAD no idea the trouble we would have to go through to make that happen.
Her teacher and Principle felt very strongly she is ready for 1st grade and although academically she has done great I don't want her to be the youngest in her class! That is NOT the only reason I have LOTS but the school district did NOT see it our way at all.
They were going to charge us a pretty penny to have her repeat!
I wouldn't give up! I wrote letters, we met with the principle and teacher, we met with the district, I sent lots of emails. I cried! I yelled!
Finally last week they called with some good news London will be able to repeat without being charged!
London is actually super excited to go to kindergarten again. We are switching schools this year and she has lots of friends from church at this school.
We are super proud of London and her hard work. She had some pretty high test scores and we feel it will only benefit her in the long run. I am thinking it might even help her to sit still (probably not though)
